A suggested example of the sort of poster that could be used to monitor cycle thefts

• I REALISE one of the big problems with all this bike theft is no one is gathering information centrally and no one knows if a street is being hit, (Bike thefts: CNJ turns DIY detective to surprise ‘quick sale’ online seller, August 5).

If everyone in Camden put up a poster such as this (above) recording when and where a bike was stolen, then we would get a much better idea of how big this problem is and alert others to be especially careful.

I have made a poster anyone can use to show the day, date of when their bike was stolen, with room for a photograph of their bike too.

Perhaps we can start to challenge the police’s lack of action. I am convinced that this is organised crime using these thefts to fund further criminal activity.
