• BUDGENS make much of their Green credentials and front of house they appear to be doing their bit around limiting and reusable packaging.

They also sponsor a campaign to stop vehicles engine idling outside local schools. All very commendable.

Behind the scenes however it is a different story.

As a resident of Tagore House and therefore above Budgens’ delivery area, lorries routinely leave engines running throughout deliveries at all times of the day.

This is polluting in three ways: air pollution, noise pollution and vibrations pollution.

It’s all a bit much and despite numerous complaints over many years to management nothing is done about it.

The hypocrisy is self evident and it needs to be called out.
