ARSENAL Ladies boss Shelley Kerr has urged her side to remember “it’s only half time” in their Champions League semi-final.

The Gunners face an uphill battle to reach the final after losing 2-0 against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday at Meadow Park.

Kerr is calling for calm in Germany this Sunday, and for the team to trust in what they do best. “What we’ve said as a team is that it’s only half time in the game,” she said.

“It’s going to be difficult because we’ve conceded two goals at home, but if any team can come back and score goals away from home we can.
“I think the key will be to be patient. There’s no point in rushing things.

“We tried to play too much football in the home tie and in the end we didn’t get the result that we were looking for.

“We need to be a little bit smarter and we need to use our intelligence and the talent that we have in the squad. I’m still extremely positive, I’m a positive person.”
