GOLDEN girl Paddy Gemmell proved she was top of the chops when she took part in the Leicester Karate Association Wadokai Sakagami Challenge.
Competing as part of a 12-strong squad from the Veras Academy, the nine-year-old powered her way to a glistening gold medal in the girls’ junior seventh kyu and below individual fight category.
The Torriano Primary School pupil, who lives in Camden Town, also struck silver in the girls’ junior height 4ft4ins and over category.
Held at the Parklands Leisure Centre, the Veras Academy returned from Leicester with a mighty 14-medal haul, six golds, three silvers and five bronzes.
