‘I hope many trees will be planted appropriately in the Forest 2025 scheme’

• LIKE Pat Newby, (They can’t see the wood… Letters, December 17), I too am a Camden leaseholder and received the Camden Winter 2020 Housing News.

I read the article “Plant a seed of hope for the future with Camden Forest”. I do sympathise with Pat Newby’s view of the difficulties which can occur by planting trees too close to buildings.

However, the article does ask tenants and leaseholders not to plant on estate or public land, but rather in a container as shown on the RHS website rhs.org.uk.

I hope many trees will be planted appropriately in the Forest 2025 scheme. This will help to mitigate the effects of climate change and green our local areas.
