• I WOULD like to express my heartfelt thanks to the many people across Camden who have contacted me in the last couple of weeks to say they were sorry to hear of my retirement from the council, to wish me well, and to express their appreciation for my work over the years.

It has been my pleasure and privilege to represent the residents of Fortune Green, the area of Camden furthest from the town hall, which I have always been determined the council should not overlook.

I have always fought for our community, which is close to my heart, and I hope that locally people will make sure that Fortune Green continues to have a councillor who will fight their corner.

I urge those who have, in the past, regularly voted for me and the Liberal Democrats locally, to vote on July 22 for another fighter for our community: Covid champion, environmentalist and local nurse Nancy Jirira.
