Signs in Swain’s Lane

• ON November 18 last year Camden Council reported that “the council recently made the decision to remove the banned right turn to traffic from Swain’s Lane onto South Grove”.

Yet three signs in Swain’s Lane imposing that prohibition remain, continuing to drive traffic away from Swain’s Lane (see photograph above, taken January 20).

When notified of this, the principal transport planner (policy and road safety), said: “I instructed our contractors to remove the signage prohibiting the right turn onto South Grove before Xmas, ie when the Experimental Traffic Order expired on 17 December… I will get onto this as soon as possible.”

The signs are still there.
