Green Party candidate Lorna Jane Russell

• AS a resident of Highgate ward I will be voting for Green Party candidate Lorna Jane Russell at our by-election on November 30.

I’m not a member of the Greens but, with environ­mental horrors coming down the line at 100mph, I think it would be an absolute tragedy if there were no representatives of her party in Camden.

None of England’s major parties promise the kind of measures neces­sary to avoid the consequences of global warm­ing and pollution. Only the Greens take that position.

We have had young, sympathetic, hard-working, independent Green councillors representing our ward for many years now and Lorna fits exactly in that mould. Her previous experience as a councillor will enable her to hit the ground running.
