• AS a regular reader, I was disappointed but not surprised to see the May 9 letter criticising Israel for their “bombardment” of Gaza, (May 11 demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people).

I think you will find that Israel attacked specific sites in Gaza in retaliation for over 500 rockets aimed at Israel in less than two days.

To all the people who signed the letter I would simply make two points. First, Israel vacated Gaza in 2005 and, second, what would anyone in Camden do if a neighbour launched 500 rockets at your house?
