HAMPSTEAD Heath’s police force have reported a large rise in people being stopped for cycling off designated routes this year.

Constabulary manager Richard Gentry told Heath chiefs on Monday night that in 2015 his staff had stopped 334 people for using bikes in banned areas on the Heath – but that the figure had risen to more than 500 so far in 2016.
