• THANK you for reporting the Pride marches. I was proud to attend both events having attended the first Pride rally in 1972.

Those of us who also marched in the main Pride event were really overwhelmed by the reception we received from the crowds and fellow marchers. It certainly wasn’t just a “commercial” event.

Getting the balance right between big name sponsorship, political demands and mass participation is always going to be difficult, but I am glad, in Pride’s 50th year, there was a place for us all
