Sally Gimson

• I AM a Conservative living in Highgate. Nonetheless I wholeheartedly join in the chorus of regret at the treatment of Labour’s Sally Gimson, (Axed Labour candidate drops her legal fight but with warning to party, November 14).

She was a tireless and friendly local councillor working hard for all of us in her ward. Her rejection as an MP by Labour HQ against the wishes of the local people of Bassetlaw has been as anti-democratic as it was brutal.

Perhaps Sir Keir Starmer might intervene on her behalf at the highest level?
