In praise of my GP services
Thursday, 11th November 2021
• I WANTED to follow the Linda Davies letter (Media criticism of GPs is unjustified, November 4), presenting her positive experience of her group practice.
My experience with my practice, Keats Group Practice, has always been the same. I cannot speak too highly of the quality of the service.
The first contact with any and all of the receptionists is always polite and extremely helpful and they are always happy to answer queries on the phone or in person at the surgery.
When I went in for a routine blood test, my GP did not wait for me to look up the results online, but sent me a text. I am not sure how they manage it with their huge workload and all of the pressures, but I am so appreciative.
We even had a patient / staff meeting on Zoom a while ago, with some of the doctors and the practice manager taking us through various processes, and very much reassuring that privatisation would not be allowed to creep in.
I understand that some of the staff have been the subject of aggressive behaviour by some patients. Shame on the perpetrators of such!
