In Gaza homes, hospitals, schools infrastructure, and lives are destroyed as policy

• WE are heartened to see so many CNJ letters on Gaza reflecting the feelings of many residents and millions worldwide calling for immediate ceasefire.

Silence and complicity – Labour and Tories leading the way in backing genocide – increases people’s anger.

It’s unforgivable.

Israel’s attacks have killed over 30,000 people. Homes, hospitals, schools, infrastructure and lives are destroyed as policy.

United Nations estimates say a mother is killed every hour, a child every 15 minutes.

It’s unbearable to contemplate, wiping out a generation.

No wonder that millions are marching in most countries.

Support for Palestinian people’s demands has never been more urgent: immediate, permanent ceasefire; water, food, medical supplies, and other vital survival aid to Gaza; ending the illegal occupation; the boycott movement is already growing.

On March 8 International Women’s Day, we’re joining “Women Rise”, a London protest in support of Palestinian mothers and children, at 4pm. All who refuse to be silenced and censored when speaking for Palestine are warmly welcome.

Friday March 1 we’ll join International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network UK’s weekly vigil, helping launch a series of IWD actions supporting Palestine.

IJAN’s peaceful, child-friendly, picket is outside the Israeli ambassador’s residence in NW8.

We’ll focus on mothers and children in Gaza, and the survival work of keeping loved ones alive in what the International Court of Justice ruled is “plausible genocide”.

We encourage all, especially those of us of colour, to come to both events.
