Lefevre pavement-Kentish-Town

‘No room for a bus stop’

• IN response to Elizabeth Monck’s letter (Look after the passengers, October 31) complaining about Transport for London and lack of proper bus stop for Kentish Town station, the problem is the huge hoarding taking up the pavement.

It protected the site when the bridge was being fixed but now protects an empty space and leaves no room for a bus stop.

I raised the issue with councillors Jenny Headlam-Wells and Meric Apak by email on September 3. I spoke to Cllr Headlam-Wells at an event and she thought it was not in her ward.

I copied my email plus photographs to Kentish Town South councillors James Slater and Sylvia McNamara on September 14.

I queried whether there was permission for this taking up of the pavement. Is there a hoarding licence for it (such as one carefully displayed outside the station giving permission for the barrier)?

I have had no response from these four councillors at all.

TfL can hardly put back a proper bus stop until the public pavement is restored. It needs our councillors to act.
