• FIRST a heartfelt thanks to the people of Fortune Green who have voted for me to represent them for over 30 years. As ever, I will do my very best on your behalf.

I would also like to pay a huge tribute to my fellow candidates, Adrian Bridge and Tracey Shackle. They were indeed a “dream team” to work with and I’m sorry they were not rewarded with success this time!

But I’m happy it was a successful night for the Liberal Democrats across the country and in London where we regained Richmond and Kingston from the Conservatives and virtually doubled our seats in next-door Haringey.

I’m particularly delighted to welcome two more Lib Dem councillors to Camden after an amazing campaign – former Councillor Tom Simon and newcomer Luisa Porritt. Thanks to all our other candidates and devoted volunteers for everything they did to ensure a strong Lib Dem voice in Camden.

My final thank you is to whoever sent me an anonymous mini-hamper on Friday, full of tempting goodies. I am working my way through it.

The chocs are particularly delicious but I’d love to know who sent it so I could thank them properly. Can anyone help me solve my mystery?
