• THE cost of living crisis is the biggest issue facing our country at the moment.

With food prices, heating bills and taxes all rising, I know this is a very difficult time for many families in Hampstead and Kilburn and across the country.

If you are struggling to keep up with soaring costs, angry about the lack of help, or confused about what support is available to you: you are not alone.

Many households have contacted me asking to be directed to support with the cost of living crisis. I have therefore set up a page on my website – tulipsiddiq.com – for those in need of help or advice.

My website now includes a list of some support that is available both locally and nationally, including the government’s Help for Households webpage where people can find out what types of support they may be eligible for.

While the help being offered by the government is currently very limited, I will be pushing the new prime minister to provide much more support for families during this crisis.

I know Brent Council and Camden Council are doing all they can to help residents with the cost of living crisis, including setting up resident support funds.

We are also lucky to have some amazing local organisations here in Hampstead and Kilburn who are offering support to those struggling, which I have included on my website along with links to the council’s websites.

From the Brent and Camden food banks to Advice4Renters, I am grateful to all the brilliant community groups who are stepping up to help those in need.

If there is anything I can do to help as your MP – or if you help to run or know of any local organisations which should be added to my website – please email me at tulip@tulipsiddiq.com
