I no longer feel represented by Labour

Sir Keir Starmer with former England international Fara Williams at Haverstock School
• SO Sir Keir Starmer says he is still our local MP, huh?
Really? When was the last time anyone in Holborn, Bloomsbury or Covent Garden saw him, even if it was for just another pointless photo opportunity?
I was looking forward to voting but despite the Tories’ implementation of post-Brexit decline and fall, I no longer feel represented by Labour.
Between Sir Keir and the Camden councillors who think they’re too big for the concerns of ordinary working people and looking to parachute themselves in to constituencies hundreds of miles away, few of those with power listen to the concerns and views of council tax-squeezed constituents (hey, it’s only money, right)?
They know best for your quality of life.
The London mayor and a small coterie of Blairites and their children will spend a fortune on pedestrianising roads.
Rome is burning down, Camden, and trust doesn’t pay the bills, but at least we’ll get some planters and an even more disconnected prime minister.
As someone who grew up and would love to remain with family in this area (tick, another no-no) it would be nice to feel part of a resident community amounting to something more than just a theme park of chains and its council’s laboratory for profligate spending and pat-on-the-head experimentation.
But maybe we’re not the demographic which matters any longer.
