I imagine Camden has it in for residents

• I IMAGINE that Camden Council has it in for residents of this borough.
High Speed 2’s assurances – no action, and meaningless! Industrial estate – transmuted into a housing development. Morrisons supermarket having to move while bringing the man-made hill down again.
And now Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent waiting to see if they too will be metamorphosed into yet another high-rise housing development, the construction of which would produce more cracks in the homes of the conservation area nearby; and pollution galore, along with utility problems and the old roads needing a makeover.
How much can long-term residents in the area bear? And where will the tenants in Gilbeys Yard and Juniper Crescent be relocated?
If there were jobs created outside London and up north the need for all this, quite frankly ugly, housing would evaporate. But then the developers pay the council much-needed money; sadly at the expense of Camden’s council tax-payers.
Please sign this petition. It’s time that people can be left in peace in their homes.
