I can share my reports on emergency matters with party colleagues
Friday, 4th March 2022
• I WAS surprised and disappointed to read in the CNJ that Holborn & St Pancras Labour Party general committee voted against having a climate emergency officer for the constituency.
I was elected as the climate emergency officer for Hampstead & Kilburn Constituency Labour Party last November and have had a very positive response to my reports from GC members, including councillors, on this side of the borough and in the Brent part of the constituency.
I was looking forward to working closely with the Holborn & St Pancras officer to ensure that Labour Party members are briefed on local, national and international matters relating to this critical issue.
Given the size of the challenge I would have expected cabinet members to welcome all hands on deck. I will, of course, be happy to share my reports with all party members if they feel they are useful.
