Sir Geoffrey Bindman
I GATHER leading Labour councillors met the human rights lawyer Sir Geoffrey Bindman on Friday morning to shed clarity on the contentious motion condemning anti-semitism, earmarked for Monday’s council meeting.
They were aware Sir Geoffrey, a big hitter in legal circles, had been unhappy with the motion – and hoped he could he could make it more operable.
After the meeting, an “altered” motion was presented to the council.
