• I HAVE been informed by a 13-year-old schoolboy, of the High Speed 2 propaganda being spread in schools to brainwash our vulnerable children about the so-called virtues of HS2!

Apparently, the spokeswoman from a construction company involved with HS2 at the secondary school in question, was excitedly promoting and deceiving the minors as to how wonderful HS2 is, how there will be lots of job opportunities for them with HS2 when they leave school, and the bright future they will all have with HS2.

But there happened, on this occasion, to be some boys from Somers Town being told this HS2 nonsense who replied by recounting the trauma and destruction being caused by HS2 to them and families in their home area, which led to the spokes­woman, looking embarrassed and piping down about HS2.

I have also noticed a marked increase of ordinary people (outside of Somers Town and Euston) really beginning to feel the terrible environmental impact, and the irreversible damage and unnecessary inconvenience HS2 is causing them, with Adelaide Road now being added to HS2s no-go areas.

What with HS2’s devastating annihilation of our environment, our drinking water being contaminated with sewage, and the air we breath being poisoned by HS2’s construction, along with homes and businesses destroyed, family life and loss of trees, open green spaces, wildlife and ecosystems, what future have we – Covid-weary, captive, slaves to the government, paying through the nose and treated with absolute utter contempt for the privilege – got to look forward to?

And what future or hope can HS2 possibly offer any of us, other than paying for our forced suffering for generations to come?
It’s a no brainer.

We must all join together to protest, protect, and stop this dangerous, destructive, life-threatening, grossly overpriced and corrupt, great train robbery now!
