The bus shelter in Prince of Wales Road

• THE works on Prince of Wales Road by Volker Highways (considerate constructors) on behalf of Camden Council are almost finished. Puddles are already forming!

Before Camden’s favoured road workers move on to their next lucrative project, desecrating Haverstock Hill, Volker appear to have over-run their contract on Prince of Wales, as the advertised end-date was back in August.

Perhaps the people of Camden should be told: How much has this nonsense cost? What penalties have Volker (considerate constructors) had to pay for running late?

In the meantime, the latest on the bus-shelter-in-a-cycle-lane (At last, safely reseated, November 19): although the shelter has now been moved, barriers across the cycle lane have been re-erected. Bikes now have to use the pavement.
