How can the councillor named in the EHRC report continue in his Camden role?
Thursday, 5th November 2020
• AFTER the publication of Equalities and Human Rights Commission report, I am very concerned about Thomas Gardiner, referenced on 20 occasions in the damning report into the Labour Party’s handling of anti-Semitism, and how he can remain in his capacity as a councillor in Camden.
All media coverage of Gardiner has mentioned his role as a councillor and the two are therefore not separable when it comes to the reputational harm he has done to Camden.
He can’t just take that hat off and pretend to be someone else. Kilburn is in the top 2 per cent of wards in the entire country by Jewish population.
