POTTERS racked up some big wins on Monday night as they edged closer to pocketing one of the Chalk Farm Pool League’s biggest prizes.
Hurricane Potters were the most dominant team in the second round of the Liam Tarrant Cup as they sealed a convincing victory over The Crown Jewels. Doubles partners Elliot Dent and Colin Cottrell clinched the final frame at the Hurricane Room in King’s Cross to complete a 5-0 whitewash.
Division One leaders The Crown beat King’s Cross Gunners 5-1, while Sir Robert Peel also progressed after winning their tie against The Green Man by the same score.
Emirates Eaglets and King’s Cross Hurricanes both won their respective matches against Corner Flag and Cock Tavern 5-2. And both PJ’s “A” and “B” teams won 5-3 in their respective showdowns against King’s Cross Invaders and Cousins Zombies.
Maddens Misfits went through after their match against North Eight Eightballs was forfeited.
