Lidl has been in Kentish Town Road since 2014

• AM I the only one pleased to see Lidl leaving Kentish Town?

Cruelly produced and poor quality meat and dairy, heavily packaged food over-wrapped in non-recyclable materials, automated tills overseen by a single member of staff.

One less big brand supermarket on the high street is welcome. They may be cheap, but for obvious reasons. Good riddance.

We are blessed to have lots of great value independents offering a vast choice, including butchers and greengrocers, with friendly staff who appreciate local shoppers.

Hopefully they will now get bit more business.
