Second Eleven Twenty Twenty. Middlesex v Kent at Radlett

Luke Hollman hit 86 off 114 balls in a knock that included seven fours and two sixes

IT was another weekend and another masterclass by North Middlesex all-rounder Luke Hollman in the top-flight of the Middlesex County Cricket League.

Having won the toss and opted to start in the field, the defending champions restricted Brondesbury to 168-6 from their 50 overs at Harman Drive on Saturday.

Hollman picked up three of those six wickets as he gave away just 39 runs in a 10-over spell. Alex MacQueen also put in a solid showing, bowling four maidens in 10 overs – from which hosts Brondesbury managed just 17 runs.

Hollman hit 128 runs in a convincing win over Shepherd’s Bush last time out. And the Middlesex County player was at it again here as he scored an unbeaten 86 off 114 balls in a knock that included seven fours and two sixes.

Will Vanderspar also scored 44 not out as North Midd reached their winning total of 169-3 within 38 overs to seal a resounding seven-wicket victory.

The result leaves them third in the table, 10 points behind leaders Ealing, who stay top following their narrow three-wicket win over Hampstead.

A low-scoring affair saw Hampstead manage just 109 runs before losing their final wicket in the 38th over.

Ealing struggled with the bat, too, in testing conditions, but still reached their winning score of 110-7 to hold off North Midd’s growing challenge at the top of the table.
