PRIMROSE Hill wrapped up a remarkable double on Friday when they beat Lyndhurst at Market Road to clinch their second championship in what has been an outstanding season.

Having already won the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League, the Under-10s side again celebrated as they captured the title in the Camden
and Islington Midweek Youth League too.

Trailing 1-0 against Lyndhurst at half time, Leo Haralambous raced on to a stray back pass and calmly slotted the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs to score a vital equaliser.

Bertie Cassidy, Tom Coleman, Adam Rowe, Lachlan Budd, Ruddy Law and Vasco Faria all put in good shifts for Primrose, keeping the ball well in midfield. Dominating the possession as they did meant that it was only a matter of time before a chance came their way and, when it did, Kaan Akyol calmly placed the ball into the bottom corner.

Lyndhurst did their best to level the scores, but with goalkeeper Gus Beagles and defenders Sergije Zizic and Sasha Shevchuk standing strong Primrose held on to seal a superb 2-1 victory.
