THE athletics track at Parliament Hill Fields will be a hub of free family fun on Saturday as the Highgate Harriers host their Night of 10,000m PBs.

The fun runs, activities and races are due to get underway at 1pm. Among the early afternoon high­lights is a tug-of-war competition, which is set to start at 3pm.

Organisers are still look­ing for teams of eight to enter. Anyone interested should call 020 7332 3773 for details.
At 6pm the crowds will turn their attentions to the main event as some of the biggest names in the running world take to the track.

European silver medallist and Olympian Jo Pavey will compete against the country’s greatest athletes in the 10,000m trials for the 2014 European Championships.
