HIGHGATE Harrier Esther Evans enjoyed a fine run for Middlesex on Saturday, running in fourth of 44 finishers on an undulating course in the SEAA Inter-Counties cross country championship.  

Evans, alongside club mate Kate Meredith (14th), London Heathside’s Sue Rust (15th) and Leigh Lattimore of Harrow (sixth), steered Middlesex to second in the race in Lloyd Park in Croydon.

Also running for Middlesex at the same venue were young Harriers Terry Fawden and Marjolaine Briscoe, who were 21st of 71 finishers and 50th out 76 in the under-13 boys and girls races respectively.
