• RESIDENTS in our Camden Council block are trapped in our homes by a broken lift. The lift broke last year, ruining Christmas for those with less mobile relatives who could not visit.

A man who has thrice-weekly hospital dialysis visits has to be bodily lifted by NHS ambulance staff; those with buggies and children struggle, deliveries are rescheduled.

Perhaps Camden Council can explain why a lift cannot be fixed for over a month? And it isn’t the first time we wait and wait…

It might be worth reminding the council that we do pay in rent and service charges for a non-existent service.

We found out today that contractors Apex can only come “towards the end of next week”. There appears to be no sense of urgency. Are we are waiting for a disaster to happen?
