Obscene price tag of HS2
• WITH Crossrail coming in four years and five months overdue, and £3billion over budget, let’s face it, what chance is there of HS2 costs remaining at the already eye-watering £108billion to build?
And with the cost of living crisis really kicking in, the prices of the building materials needed for HS2 will soar to unattainable heights, cement (highly toxic too) steel, machinery, transport of materials, petrol for lorries and machinery, workers wages, etc.
So how can the public possibly be expected to afford to ever pay back the obscene £108billion HS2 price tag, on top of all of the current cost of living hikes?
And as for the pitiless cruelty to the people, and environmental destruction of Camden (and elsewhere) inflicted on the long suffering people, especially Euston, by HS2 (just for the sake of billionaire profiteers) as well as shamefully being abandoned and not having a single government representatives from any political party on their side; or even there to stand up for them against HS2; (and we all know it’s what the politicians have decided they want, and not what the people themselves want) shows the inhumane and heartless way they have been treated; and with such contempt, not even being able to turn to their, undemocratic leaders for any help or sympathy whatsoever, over the appalling carnage HS2 has caused and still is continuing to cause.
We now all know why, and it’s sickening to know that our leaders have put greed and short-sightedness before human kindness, happiness, safety, and the future wellbeing of our children.
So what chance of survival does a dear little colony of hedgehogs (as mentioned in the New Journal) got under the hard and callous HS2 dictators?
This obscene and destructive project is unsustainable and cannot continue, especially while families are starving and going without! And heads must roll for allowing such a corrupt, and fraudulent scheme to go ahead in the first place!
