CAMDEN and Islington will renew their footballing rivalry on Saturday morning when they go head-to-head in the group stages of the Lester Finch Trophy at Regent’s Park.

The game comes at just the right time for Camden’s Year 6 side as they’re oozing confidence following back-to-back wins which has seen them score 12 goals in just two games.

On Saturday they got their campaign in the Lester Finch trophy off to a flying start when they beat Thurrock 3-1 thanks to goals from Lanre Owoborode, Luc Achermann-Stanfield and Solomon Hamilton.

Lanre and Luc are forming a formidable partnership in front of goal having scored seven goals between them in their previous outing for Camden.

Lanre scored four, while Luc hit a hat-trick as the Under-11s side eased past Tower Hamlets in the Kay Trophy. Solomon and Camille Tani were also on target as Camden ran out 9-0 winners.
