HIGHGATE Harrier David Bruce just missed out on first place in the four miles 402-yards Mota-vation road race in Chipping Norton.
Bruce ran home in 20:55, just two seconds behind the winner, Bedford’s Steve Naylor.
Both runners beat the previous course record, Naylor by four seconds and Bruce by two.
Meanwhile, Harrier Ryan McKinlay ran in an Olympic Test 3000m steeplechase in the Olympic Stadium last Sunday. The Harrier ran a personal best for the event by at least 10 seconds to finish in fourth place overall.
