GYMNAST Tomique Gibson was all smiles on Sunday after she triumphantly scooped three medals at the Autumn Levels Championships, held at Heathrow Gym Club.
Countless hours training at Camden Gymnastics Club, which is based at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town, paid off for the talented 12-year-old as she won gold medals in her individual bars and vault competitions.
Having also showed off her skills on the beam and the floor, the Holloway schoolgirl capped a fantastic afternoon by winning a silver medal in the overall rankings.
Tomique’s triple medal success continued a run of great results in the competition for Camden Gym Club.
In the younger age groups, held earlier this month, Ella-Rae Quist, nine, won a gold for her floor routine and took first place overall.
In the 10-year-olds category, Meiyi Weiyi Weisbord, Sophie Empson and Anne Campbell finished third, fourth and fifth respectively. Sophie impressed as she won gold for her floor routine, while Anne earnt a gold on the bars.
In the 11-year-olds competition, Sophia Waller won gold on the floor and was fourth overall, while Eliza Benedict, despite not turning 12 until next month, performed extremely well to finish fifth overall in the 12-year-olds.
