THE boys from Camden Gymnastics Club made a successful leap to the regional scene when they represented London at the men’s artistic development grades.

Held in Birmingham, Shaq Grant, 9, Luke Apata, 13, Leikaydon Fisher, 11, and Ben Vlasto, 10, all showed off the skills that they have been sharpening through countless hours of practice at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town.

And there was certainly plenty of reason to celebrate, as Ben helped London’s Under-11s finish first in the team rankings, while club-mate Shaq was part of the Under-10s who picked up a silver medal.

Ivan Pastore, who trains the team with head coach Steve Russo, said, “It was an amazing success for our boys. They worked extremely hard and have made their club and region very proud.”
