ARSENAL Ladies will be looking to put their disappointing league campaign behind them on Friday when they tackle Lincoln in the Continental Cup final at Barnet FC’s Hive Stadium.
Shelley Kerr’s side saw Liverpool take their Women’s Super League crown on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Bristol Academy.
The Gunners will go into the cup final in confident mood after coming from behind to beat Everton at the Arriva Stadium in their final league outing of the season.
Toni Duggan gave the Toffees the lead in the 34th minute but a spectacular second half showing saw Arsenal turn the game around thanks to goals from Ellen White and Rachel Yankey.
The 2-1 victory saw the north Londoners finish third in the league, behind champs Liverpool and Bristol Academy, with nine wins, three draws and one defeat from their 13 games.
Now all eyes will be on The Hive on Friday when Arsenal take on Lincoln in a 7.30pm kick-off. Fans who want to watch the action should call 020 8449 6325 for tickets.
