ARSENAL Ladies are set to be the first Gunners side to wear the new club kit on Sunday when they travel to Millwall Lionesses in the Continental Cup.
The Gunner Girls, who will be guests at a reception in Islington Town Hall on Monday, wore a “bespoke limited-edition” Puma strip last Sunday when they beat Chelsea 3-0 to move into third in their Conti Cup group.
A brace from skipper Kelly Smith and volley from Shinobu Ohno settled matters at Meadow Park.
The Ladies showcased their special strip again last night (Thursday) in a 7-0 win against London Bees in the Conti Cup.
Arsenal fans can wear the club’s new home kit themselves this week – it will be on sale at Arsenal’s revamped Armoury store today when the shop reopens with first-teamers Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Carl Jenkinson attending.
