JORDON Nobbs says that her Arsenal Ladies team-mates need to remain positive despite losing 2-0 against Chelsea on Sunday in the Women’s Super League.

The defeat at Meadow Park leaves the Gunners five points adrift of their London rivals, who sit top of the table with just three games to go.

Nobbs, pictured duelling with Blues midfielder Gemma Davison, said she is confident that there are still more twists and turns to come before the title race is over.

“It’s disappointing. The league is so close at the moment that those points are very big points,” the England midfielder told Arsenal.com

“But every game counts and every team is taking points off each other so we can’t be disheartened,”

Chelsea, who are managed by former Parliament Hill School pupil Emma Hayes, moved three points clear at the top of table with the 2-0 win.

They were gifted the lead after only seven minutes when Vicky Losada scored an own-goal, before Davison’s well-taken penalty made the game safe on 69 minutes.
