IT’S official! Arsenal’s form isn’t just good – it’s positively mind-blowing.
Two goals from Aaron Ramsey and a strike from Mathieu Flamini saw the Gunners clinch a 3-0 victory at Cardiff on Saturday, a ground where both Manchester clubs have failed this season.
Afterwards Arsene Wenger was quizzed about whether his side is feeling any additional pressure from being top of the table.
And he made it clear it wasn’t the mind set of his players that was different.
“The only thing that is changing is not our minds, it’s your mind, because until now you never ask me about the pressure because you always thought it was an accident that we are top and it won’t last,” said the Frenchman.
“Now that it’s lasting a bit longer, you start to think ‘we have to consider them a bit more seriously’.
“You start to think, is it a pressure for us? No. We just continue to play well and that’s the pressure we have – the desire to play well.”
Despite Arsenal’s title credentials being questioned in some quarters, Wenger insists his players are not worried about the wider perception of the team.
“There is no real specific pressure. It is a desire,” he said. “We want to be where we are.
“When I arrived here, people explained I couldn’t win the title as I am foreign.
“Everybody has their own logic. I just think you win the title through your quality.”
