Sabrina Carpenter plays Hyde Park BST on July 5-6 [Rob Chute]

IF you haven’t got your Glasto tickets, or just didn’t fancy camping, there’s enough festival action right here to satisfy the worst FOMO sufferers.

LIDO Festival has just wrapped up at Victoria Park with an immensely cool line-up, giving the park time to rest before All Points East rolls up in August hosting the likes of Barry Can’t Swim, Cleo Sol, Chase and Status, Raye, Confidence Man and The Maccabees (Aug 15-24).

Before that, Hyde Park’s British Summer Time Festival takes advantage of the balmy climes this week, starting off with Olivia Rodrigo (June 27) playing her biggest UK show to date supported by The Last Dinner Party, Girl In Red and more. Country singer Zach Bryan, who shares the bill with Dermot Kennedy (June 28-29) and petite pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter (July 5-6), while Noah Kahan (July 4), Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts (July 11), Stevie Wonder, Cat Stevens and Van Morrison (July 12), Jeff Lynne’s ELO (July 13) and All Things Orchestral (July 10) complete the bigger names but there are plenty of other brilliant new and established acts worth arriving early for.

As ever, BST also opens its doors in between gigs for Open House, eight days of free events in Hyde Park, including music from House Gospel Choir, Dub Pistols, Trojan Sound System ft Chucky Bantan, South London Samba, Brixton Chamber Orchestra, Outdoor Cinema, sports, theatre a street food market and so much more for all the family (June 30-July 3 and July 7-10).

It seemed like there was a moment where Wet Leg was everywhere, on soundtracks, adverts, on the radio in shops, inescapable. Now, they are playing a special Rough Trade Outstore at Electric Ballroom on July 17 to celebrate the release of their new album, moisturizer.

• We’ve got a few quality hip-hop rap acts coming up – highlights include Brooklyn’s Jeru the Damaja, who is joined by Drez & Mr Gizmo (HHBITD) + RapXchange at Jazz Café on June 27. Rapper Brother Ali, a politically charged lyricist, who is also a highly respected speaker and community leader, follows at the venue on June 28. Over at The Roundhouse on July 5, Bronx-born Cash Cobain, known for his bouncy, sample-driven club beats, catchy hooks, and infectious energy, makes his debut UK performance. Also at the Roundhouse, innovative South Central rapper Schoolboy Q promotes recently released sixth album Blue Lips. Over at Scala, get a taste of Hindi rap where Delhi-based duo Seedhe Maut aka Encore ABJ and Calm continue their boundary-pushing rhymes, having already surpassed 500 million streams and earning a double platinum single.

Beth Gibbons, the haunting voice of Portishead celebrates the release of her debut solo album Lives Outgrown with a special performance at The Roundhouse on June 27, support from Seamus Fogarty.

• Black Uhuru, one of the world’s most recognised reggae groups, play a one-off show at Jazz Café on June 30.

Veteran Brazilian samba musician Jorge Aragão will perform classics like Malandro, Eu e Você Sempre, Lucidez and Moleque Atrevido at Islington Assembly Hall on July 3. Then, on July 10, Venezuelan band Los Amigos bring their blend of disco, acid jazz and funk mixed with Latin rhythms to the venue.
