Planting along Tottenham Court Road

• I TOOK a walk along Tottenham Court Road and surrounding area to look at the planting that Camden Council has done over the last few years.

I am working with our local councillor and Camden officers in a bid to “green” Haverstock Hill, by our station.

Suitable planters must be used, with plants that look after themselves and a watering system

It is important that if there is agreement to the “greening” of our area that suitable planters are used, with plants that look after themselves, a watering system, and agreed maintenance.

“Greening”, if planned out properly, taking into account rubbish and maintenance, will help with pollution, engage people and hopefully bring more customers to our ever-dying high street.
