TOP young gymnasts from Camden and Islington are busy getting ready to go for gold as they count down the days until their next competition in September.

The girls are hard at work preparing their perfect routines at Camden Gymnastics Club in Kentish Town.

The club has been enjoying a series of top results recently, including Yerbury School pupil Eliza Benedict, who lives in Tufnell Park, finishing second overall and first in her level five bars event at the Regional Spring Championships. Team-mate Sophia Waller, who lives in Finchley Road, finished 10th overall in the same competition.

Meanwhile top trio Annie Campbell, who lives in Barnsbury, Sophie Empson, from West Hampstead, and Ella-Rae Quist, from Somers Town, all collected pins and medals from the Inter Club Invitational which was held in Cardiff.
