ARSENAL Ladies are looking for help keeping clean sheets after the club advertised for a new first team goalkeeping coach this week.

The successful candidate must have their Uefa B-level coaching and goalkeeping awards, and will be responsible for devising coaching sessions as well as playing a key role in the recruitment of future goalkeepers.

The advertisement also stresses that the new coach will liaise with the Ladies’ first-team manager, although as the club have yet to announce a permanent successor following Shelley Kerr’s resignation back in May, it is unclear who that will be. Centre of Excellence technical director John Bayer has taken temporary charge of the side, but he has already made it clear that he doesn’t want the job on a full-time basis.

The Gunners will return to action in the Women’s Super League a week on Sunday (August 24) when they travel to Manchester City.
