Go ahead punks…

Anderson Garcia Rodrigues – known as ‘Zombiepunk’
• ISN’T it wonderful to read that the police are doing something useful at last: removing the few punks who sit quietly on the bridge in Camden Town, bringing a little fun and entertainment to the tourists flocking into the area for some amusement, (Punk block! Anger at bridge ban in Camden Town, October 22)?
Oh, I forgot, irony doesn’t work in print does it?
So why don’t the police do something more useful such as stopping the perpetual criminal behaviour of cyclists, scooter riders and thousands of car, van and truck drivers hurtling down almost every street in the borough at speeds well in excess of the speed limits, not forgetting the Deliveroonatics who routinely break almost every traffic law, including a few that we never thought of, such as riding a motorbike backwards over a pedestrian crossing (yes, it did happen).
I was nearly run down by an Ocado van yesterday doing well over the 20mph limit on my own street but, of course, nobody even monitors this limit, especially not the police!
Fiddling with punks while rubber burns?
