Give us back our parking – is anyone monitoring the usage on this cycle lane?

• I OFTEN wonder who at Camden Council makes decisions regarding our roads and if these same people ever visit to see the result of their handiwork.

Consider two roads near me, both of them narrow, with parking on both sides, two-way traffic, both running from Glenilla Road to Haverstock Hill.

Frequently there are problems when down-coming traffic meets upcoming traffic with no space to pass. Road rage!

The easy solution would be to make Glenlock Road one-way up and Glenmore Road one-way down. Simple but not done.

Instead cycle lanes up and down Haverstock Hill but with hardly any cyclists, the reason being they turn into England’s Lane at the bottom of the hill, proceed along Belsize Park Gardens, through the village, and up a gentle incline on Belsize Lane which comes out at the top of Haverstock Hill.

I wonder if anyone monitors the cycle lane usage. Please, when can we have our parking back?
