Rubbish bin overflowing

Kingdom Services Ltd is targeting fly-tippers and litter louts for the council with a team of officers who dish out doorstep fines while wearing body cameras.

• FINALLY Camden Council is trying to do something about litter, rubbish on the streets, and fly-tipping, and your report (Here come the bin bag police! September 8) chooses to mock the effort based on one unfortunate error from a new contractor.

The CNJ is regularly flooded with letters complaining about anti-social behaviour in the form of street pollution and we all have neighbours who still don’t know the difference between green and black bins and compost bins; much to the delight of insects, pigeons and foxes.

I am not alone in being fed up seeing rubbish on the pavements, let along being dumped (fly-tipped) at street corners and in parks or planters. So let’s give Kingdom Services a chance to fine selfish and lazy people who make our lives and streets miserable. If they prove to be rubbish, let Camden Council replace them.
