HAMPSTEAD Heath will host a huge day of sporting family fun on Sunday when the annual Give it a Go! Olympic Legacy festival returns to take centre stage.

The free event, which forms part of a campaign to encourage the public to use green spaces in a way that enhances London’s health and wellbeing, will be hoping to be even bigger and better than last year when an estimated 10,000 people turned out to enjoy the big day.

The area around Parliament Hill will be transformed into various active fun-zones to give children the chance to take part in everything from penalty shoot-outs and street dance to boxing, fancy dress and circus workshops.

There will also be face-painting, martial arts, rugby, tai-chi, and tennis lessons, plus the chance to win a Nintendo Wii.

The day runs from 1pm-5.45pm, visit www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/hampsteadheath for more details.
