THERE was silverware success for players from Islington Borough on Sunday when they beat Camden rivals Hampstead to win the AFA Cup in Edmonton.
There were early warning signs for Hampstead as a surging Borough side hit the post early on. The Under-16s team soon went one better when Sena Wogormebu opened the scoring with a spectacular volley from the edge of the six-yard box.
Net-buster Shanai Jackson then stole centre stage with a sublime hat-trick, while Chelsea Wilson was also on target in a 5-0 win.
Delighted Islington manager Julien Lubo said after the game: “The team showed great enthusiasm going forward and discipline to keep a clean sheet.”
