JAMIE Gibson smashed a stunning century to help Hampstead secure a three-wicket win over neighbouring rivals Finchley on Saturday at their Lymington Road ground.
In at No 3, Gibson hit 101 off 82 balls in a mighty knock that included 12 fours and three sixes.
He also formed a formidable 117-run partnership with Liam Hughes, who was bowled out just three runs short of his half-century, as the hosts scored 238-7 off 42.3 overs to wrap up a successful chase.
Fred Daeche-Marshall’s earlier score of 59 off 71 balls had seen Finchley post a total of 234 off 57.5 overs after being put in to bat by Hampstead skipper Steve Clark.
Hughes was the pick of the Hampstead bowlers with 3-44 while Gibson and Ragheb Aga took two wickets each.
